Domain & connection

For almost everyone, this is a page you’ll never need: the connection between your store and Sigmira is set up correctly out of the box. But two situations bring you here: testing against a staging server, or moving your shop to a new domain. Knowing where these settings live, and what they do, means that when one of those moments arrives you handle it in a couple of minutes instead of opening a support ticket. Here’s what each setting controls and how to move a licence without losing access.

The connection settings

In WordPress, go to Sigmira → Settings. The Connection section has three fields:

  • Sigmira API URL — the Sigmira server your store talks to. Leave this on the default (production). Only change it if Sigmira asks you to point at a staging server for testing.
  • License Key — the same key you activated (see Install & activate).
  • Log Level — how much detail Sigmira records for troubleshooting. Leave it as-is unless support asks you to raise it.

A status indicator shows Connected when all’s well, with a Refresh button, and a Manage in Sigmira Dashboard ↗ button that takes you to the full dashboard.

As the page notes, this screen is just the connection. Editor, cart, storefront, export and theme settings all live in the Sigmira Dashboard.

Moving your store to a new domain

Your licence is tied to the stores it’s connected to, up to your plan’s limit. To move to a new domain (or a fresh site):

  1. On the old site, deactivate the licence on the Sigmira → License page.
  2. On the new site, install the plugin and activate the same key.

If you hit Site limit reached, you’ve used all your plan’s store slots; free one up or upgrade. See Billing & subscription.
