Images & clipart
Images are what turn a personalised product from nice into unmistakably theirs: a holiday photo on a mug, a pet on a cushion, a company logo on a uniform. Sigmira handles two kinds: artwork your customers upload themselves, and a library of clipart and graphics you curate for them. This guide covers both, along with the on-canvas adjustments that help a slightly-too-dark photo still print well, so the finished result looks intentional rather than pasted on.
Two sources
Uploads — the customer’s own pictures
Open the Uploads panel and Drop image here or click to upload. While the image is being prepared you’ll see Processing…, and once it’s placed, Image added to canvas. The panel shows the accepted file types and size limit (for example PNG, JPG up to 10MB). For required, fixed upload spots you set up in advance, see Upload zones.
Elements — clipart you provide
Open the Elements panel to browse the graphics in your Elements library. Browse by category (starting with All Elements) or search with Search elements… and Search categories…. These are the ready-made shapes and icons you’ve made available; customers can’t upload here, they just pick.
Adjust an image
Select an image to open its inspector controls:
- Adjustments — Brightness, Contrast and Saturation for quick photo tweaks.
- Opacity — make the image semi-transparent.
- Position, Size and Rotation — place, scale and turn it.
- Shadow — add a soft drop shadow (Color and Blur).
- Duplicate / Delete — copy or remove the image.
Keep prints sharp
Low-resolution images print blurry. Two safeguards help:
- The print area’s Minimum DPI setting warns the customer if an uploaded image is too low-resolution for the print size (see Add print areas).
- Before checkout, a Design Quality Check can flag low-resolution images and out-of-bounds elements, giving the customer a chance to fix them.
