Save & reuse templates

Not every customer wants to face a blank canvas; many just want to tweak something that already looks good. Templates give them that head start: ready-made designs they can pick and personalise in seconds, which lifts conversion and keeps the results looking on-brand rather than homemade. For you they’re reusable, so one strong layout can front dozens of products. This guide covers creating templates, managing them, and how customers come across them in the editor.

Why use templates

Templates are reusable design starting points your customers can tweak. They’re great for common requests (a "Summer sale" poster layout, a standard name-badge, a seasonal card), so customers get a head start and your products look polished.

Create a template

From the Templates page:

  1. Open Templates and click + New template.
  2. In the New template window, give it a Name (e.g. Summer sale poster) and pick a Category (optional).
  3. Choose a Format, the aspect ratio the template is designed for. (Templates can only be applied to product views that accept this format; see Formats.)
  4. Click Create + open designer to design it in the editor.

From the editor:

While designing, click Save as Template, then give it a name at the Save as template prompt. This is the quickest way to turn a design you’ve just made into a reusable one.

Manage your templates

The Templates list shows each template’s Format and when it was Updated, with a Global or Product badge for its scope. Filter by All / Global / Product, by category, or by format, and search with Search templates….

Per-row actions:

  • Edit — open it in the designer.
  • Duplicate — copy it as a starting point for a variant.
  • Delete — remove it (Delete template "…"? This cannot be undone.).

What customers see

When a product view has matching templates, customers see them in the editor’s Templates panel and can apply one with a tap. If none fit the current view, they’ll see No templates fit this view.
